Dragster #6 - "The Rear Engine Car"
In 1973, GSTA made the switch from front engine to rear engine dragsters. George Wepplo again was the builder and Pat Bonnett painted the car. The car was raced in two versions, starting with a 417 CI “Donovan” motor in ProComp and TA/D.
It competed at many National events and had a best ET of 7:04 at over 190 MPH.
It was then run with a 431 CI big block Chevy in Super Comp by another group of GSTA drivers and crew.

It was finally sold in 1987 after several seasons of limited use. GSTA then took a racing vacation and did not have car to run until 1997.
